When it makes you want to tune shit.
You know a Forza game is REALLY good when it makes you want to build something out of whatever . Forza Motorsport 4 saw me making a drag car out of a 1.5 Civic, and Forza Horizon 3 made me build a rally car out of an RSX Type-S.
It may not be quick in a straight line, but it’s brutally fast on dirt. It can make quick adjustments at speeds over 100 MPH without sliding. It’s like a slot car.

You know a Forza game is good when the prospect of tuning shit makes you want to buy it.

I’ve spent a large amount of time just building and designing cars as opposed to driving them. Plus, I’m really loving the new bodykits and wheels and do hope they add more. Also, anyone else notice this roaming around the world:

Hence why I’m waiting for a game with ordinary cars instead of hardcore sports cars. Does Turn 10 realize how uncommon the S2000 CR is?

One thing I liked about gran turismo was all the regular cars on it.
There are many things to dislike about that game though, like my #1 pet peeve, not being able to put wider tires on cars.

I’ve done a lot of that in FM4. Buying cars and only tuning/designing them, never racing them. That’s how I ended up with over 400 cars.

Surely by now you’ve noticed that T10 only goes for the top of the line models.

On the flip side, you know a car is good when you have no desire to tune it.

That’s why the Crown Vic and Aztek are such good cars to put in these games.
I’m glad they actually put a non-M E36 into Forza 6 but then they just took it out for Horizon 3.
If I was in charge of Turn 10, I would propose a Forza: Enthusiast game. Start out with a shit car and work your way up. Like Gran Turismo except...better.

Now that you mention it, FM4 was the last time the S14 was in Forza wasn’t it. I wonder why.

I bothers me that Forza 6 (and I’m assuming Horizon 3) don’t let you make 1000+ hp drag cars. I had a 1200hp Mercedes C32 sleeper and a 1000hp R34 Skyline in 4.

Except for Ford and Chevy. All the Fords and Chevys.

The C32 was such a sleeper with the 6.2 SL Black engine. I got mine up to 260 MPH.

Oh yeah, mine didn’t turn but it could crush Veyrons. The Skyline was nuts too because it was hundreds of pounds lighter. It would do 0-60 in less than 2 seconds and 4-wheel burnouts for days

Or you know Forza Motorsport 2 but better or heck just another Forza 2. That game was a masterpiece.

Yeah my R33 did 60 in 1.9 seconds. The highest top speed I got was 272.1 mph out of the McLaren F1.

Do you know if the drivatars become more difficult as you progress through the game? They seem to be pulling the same rubberbanding bs that they did in FM6 where 1 car would be like 7 seconds ahead of everyone else by the 2nd lap.
![]() 10/10/2016 at 11:57 |

Yeah I think 270-ish was my top speed. Still can’t beat GT6 where I did 305 in an R35 GT-R and 400+ in that ridiculous SRT concept.

I’ve noticed that increasing their skill level leads to that. The game asked me if I wanted to increase the skill level because “I was winning too easily.” All of a sudden the cars in front were practically a whole lap ahead of me. WTF.

I just build a fully modded ‘75 Bronco. Offroad tires and suspension...still capable of over 220mph, maybe even 230.
So, the feeling is certainly mutual.

I had a badass tune for the R35 that could compete with the R1 prototypes. I basically did all the R1 championship races with my R2-class GTR. Sebring was the only one I couldn’t do with the GTR, so I used my CLK-GTR instead.

I have this weird bug where one of the opponents is in a much higher PI vehicle. For example I would do a modern rally race with a car at around S1 850 PI and there would be one drivetar in a S2 920 Subaru while all the others are similar PI to my car. Obviously it’s impossible to catch that guy on the harder difficulties. Might be what’s happening to you aswell. Sadly I haven’t found a way to fix it.

Damn I need this game.

Kinda like Forza 3 and 4 did?

I just want some of the cars from FM2 and FM3 back. Like the GT1 cars.

It gave me that message pretty early into the game but I am only now having this ai bullshit. I guess I have to switch to unbeatable now :(

I was overly proud of my Toyota Aygo.

Same with my Fiesta

That’s odd. In my situation, the ai will still be using cars in the same class, but they will be breaking in game restrictions (ex. gearing, grip, acceleration). I did a race in the Group B Metro and I got passed by pretty much everything including other Metros, even though mine was tuned to have the highest top speed possible. What difficulty are you on?
![]() 10/10/2016 at 19:49 |

Well I tried to work with the SVT Cobra R (the old one) and I can get it play nice on some tracks, but not all of them. Its not easy finding the all purpose cars.

Usually whatever comes before the hardest.. I think it’s PRO.
